After General Motors’ Oshawa plant had been idled for three years, Alberici was engaged to install body shop tooling, conveyors, associated steel, and utilities for the T1 Flex Program. The project required an aggressive schedule, complex sequencing, and rapid mobilization to support GM’s first truck plant capable of building both light- and heavy-duty Silverado and Sierra trucks.

Challenge met
Alberici mobilized more than 500 workers and executed the project on two shifts, seven days per week to meet accelerated production milestones. The team installed major body shop equipment and conveyor systems in just three months while navigating cross-border equipment certification challenges.
Alberici also coordinated eSafe inspections during installation and used dedicated layout and leveling support to improve productivity and keep work moving safely and efficiently.
