Ford KC Tire, Wheel & Subassembly Addition Reaches Topping Out Milestone

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Alberici recently celebrated a major construction milestone at the Ford Kansas City Assembly Plant (KCAP) with the topping out of the new Tire, Wheel & Subassembly addition. The ceremony, held in December 2025, marked the placement of the final structural beam for the 390,000-square-foot expansion.

Delivered by Alberici, the approximately $75 million project expands Ford’s existing stamping facility and includes new manufacturing space, loading docks, team member areas, and critical tie-ins to ongoing plant operations.

The topping out ceremony brought together key project partners, including Ford, Gala & Associates Inc., Kansas City Structural Steel, and Building Erection Services Co. Team members signed the final beam, recognizing the strong collaboration and shared commitment that have driven the project forward.

This milestone highlights the coordination, craftsmanship, and dedication of the entire project team. Work continues as the facility moves closer to completion, supporting Ford’s ongoing investment in its Kansas City operations.
