Alberici to Build Two Utility-Scale Solar Projects in Illinois
Construction slated to begin later this summer
Alberici has been selected as the engineering, procurement and construction contractor for Adapture Renewables, Inc.’s (ARI) two (2) 128-MWdc projects in central Illinois. The two new utility-scale solar energy projects will be comprised of more than 232,000 solar panels each. The projects are scheduled to break ground later this year with commercial operation expected in early 2026.
ARI anticipates the projects will create more than 300 jobs during construction and over $250 million in economic impact to the local communities. Although the projects would include enough capacity to power more than 34,250 homes, the electricity generated by the projects will be procured by a leading social technology company through an Environmental Attributes Purchase Agreement.
“Alberici has a long history in renewables and will be partnering with utilities, industries and developers to deliver clean and reliable energy for decades to come,” said Peter Kozicz, CEO of Alberici Corporation. “We are proud to partner with ARI to enhance Illinois’ renewable clean energy infrastructure and create hundreds of new construction jobs in the area.”
Coordination of the projects will be managed and executed by Alberici in conjunction with resources from its enterprise affiliate Flintco Renewable Energy.
