Alberici Names Brad Nystrom Executive Vice President

ST. LOUIS — Alberici has named Brad Nystrom executive vice president. In this role, he will lead operations for Alberici’s nationally recognized heavy industrial, civil and marine markets.

Nystrom brings more than 25 years of experience in large-scale infrastructure delivery, with a strong record of building high-performing teams in the civil, marine and industrial sectors. He joins Alberici from OHLA, a global civil and transportation contractor, where he served as chief operating officer.

“Demand in our heavy industrial, civil and marine markets remains strong, driven by sustained federal investment in critical infrastructure,” said Fred Biermann, chief operating officer of Alberici Constructors Inc. “Brad’s leadership and experience align perfectly with Alberici’s commitment to safety and operational excellence. He is a valuable addition to our team, enabling us to expand our market presence while continuing to deliver top-quality, client-focused solutions.”

Alberici has delivered some of the largest and most technically demanding infrastructure projects in North America. This includes the New Lock at the Soo in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan—designed to enhance the resilience and capacity of the Great Lakes navigation system; the $625 million Kings Bay Dry Dock Rehabilitation for Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC); and the $400 million Long Baseline Neutrino Facility/Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (LBNF/DUNE) for Fermilab at the Sandford Underground Research Facility (SURF) in Lead, South Dakota.

“I was drawn to Alberici because of its people, projects and roll-up-your-sleeves culture,” Nystrom said. “This is a company that takes on big, meaningful work and does so with a collaborative, purpose-driven approach. I’m excited to help further strengthen our position as a leader in building critical infrastructure that serves communities and future generations.”

Nystrom holds a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Northwestern University and an Executive MBA from Santa Clara University.
