Alberici Executive Promotions Signal Robust Growth in Canada

Leadership appointments support continued growth across transportation, industrial and water sectors.

TORONTO – Alberici Constructors, Ltd. has promoted four executives to support continued growth in Canada’s transportation, industrial and water sectors.

The leadership appointments reflect the 108-year-old construction company’s continued expansion and commitment to delivering complex infrastructure projects across transportation, industrial, automotive and water/wastewater markets. Alberici ranked No. 11 among Canada’s largest construction companies in On-Site Magazine’s 2025 listing and reported revenue of US$4.5 billion in 2024 in North America, including approximately C$1.6 billion from projects in Canada. The company employs 291 out of their Burlington, Ontario office and 3,500 people worldwide.

The promotions include:

Sean Thibeault has been promoted to executive vice-president and market leader, rail and transportation. Thibeault has more than 33 years of industry experience and has been with Alberici for 27 years, joining the company as a project coordinator. He has led major projects across Canada and the United States, including the NextStar Energy EV Battery Plant, Canada’s first large-scale electric vehicle battery manufacturing plant, and the Union Station Enhancement Project, an alliance project supporting Toronto’s transportation hub, which accommodates more than 10,000 train trips each week.

Robert Love has been promoted to executive vice-president. Love has more than 20 years of industry experience and has been with Alberici for 18 years. He has led Alberici’s project support services, including safety, quality, estimating, purchasing and marketing, while supporting major infrastructure and industrial projects across Canada and the United States, including the NextStar Energy EV Battery Plant and Union Station Enhancement Project.

Mike McClellan has been promoted to chief construction officer. McClellan has been with Alberici for 29 years and has led large-scale industrial, automotive, manufacturing and power projects throughout Canada, the United States and Mexico, including the 100,000-square-metre Constellation Brands brewery expansion project in Ciudad Obregón, Mexico.

Graeme Langdon has been promoted to market leader, water and wastewater. Langdon has 17 years of industry experience and has been with Alberici for 14 years. He has led major water/wastewater, transit, industrial and energy projects, including the Humber Treatment Plant South Plant Upgrades, while consistently delivering strong safety, quality and client outcomes.
