Kings Bay Dry Dock Named Finalist for ENR ‘Project of the Year’ Distinction

Last month, the 20 project category winners were recognized from more than 800 entries submitted in 12 regional competitions and reviewed by multiple industry judging panels. From those selected, further review produced a handful of projects considered candidates for top recognition.

Three projects, including the Alberici-led Kings Bay Dry Dock Recapitalization in St. Marys, Ga., have been selected as finalists for ENR’s 2023 Project of the Year. The finalists were chosen based on criteria such as design and construction innovation, quality, safety, and community impact. The Kings Bay project, submitted by the Alberici-Mortenson joint venture team is recognized for its impressive delivery and will be featured along with other finalists in the March 11 print issue of ENR, with the Project of the Year winner to be revealed on the cover.
