Alberici Wins Two Ontario General Contractors Association Builder Awards
General Motors – CAMI Electric Light Commercial Vehicle (eLCV) General Assembly & Body Shop and Humber Treatment Plant, South Plant Upgrades project recognized in the industrial category.
Two Alberici projects recently won Ontario Builder Awards presented by the Ontario General Contractors Association (OGCA) at the organization’s annual symposium. The annual awards recognize excellence in commercial and industrial construction.
General Motors – CAMI Electric Light Commercial Vehicle (eLCV) General Assembly & Body Shop won the Group 4 – Project Value from $75M – $150M – Industrial category. Alberici partnered with the plant in 2022 to decommission, demolish, upgrade and retool the facility, transforming CAMI Assembly into the first full-scale EV manufacturing facility in Canada.
The Humber Treatment Plant, South Plant Upgrades project won the Group 5 – Project Value from $150 Million to $300 Million – Industrial category. Alberici partnered with the City of Toronto to refurbish the South Plant at Humber Treatment Plant, one of Ontario’s largest wastewater treatment plants. The project included the replacement of secondary treatment equipment, overhaul of existing structures and new construction.
