The Grand Hall Student Housing facility at Saint Louis University provides a space for 528 students to call home. The facility includes a seven-story, 237,000-square-foot residence hall, and 740-seat dining hall. Other amenities include classrooms, study lounges, and an outdoor plaza.
Challenging logistics on a high-profile site
The project was constructed on the front door of SLU’s campus. To minimize disruption to nearby campus buildings, Alberici worked with SLU to carefully coordinate the work. The team also worked to ensure a presentable, professional site appearance during construction.
Collaboration to achieve an aggressive schedule
The project was delivered under a fast-track schedule. Construction began before the drawings were complete, so Alberici has collaborated closely with the design team as drawings were developed.
