The SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital project held a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the start of the project. The ceremony included representatives from SSM Health, Saint Louis University, and Alberici, as well as elected officials from the city and state.
The new hospital will feature more than 800,000 square feet of space, 316 private patient rooms, an expanded Level 1 trauma center and emergency department, larger intensive care units, increased parking for patients and healing gardens and green space. Construction will conclude in 2020.
