Lanier Filter Plant Improvements
The Construction of a new 29,000 square foot sprinklered chemical storage and feed building including all work shown on the drawings including the following major components:
A new onsite sodium hypochlorite generation and storage system including brine tanks, water softeners, OSHG generation systems, storage tanks, feed pumps and piping. b. A new calcium thiosulfate storage and feed system including bulk and day tanks, transfer and feed pumps and piping. c. A new liquid lime storage and feed system including bulk tanks, transfer and feed pumps and piping. d. A new fluoride storage and feed system in an isolated room including bulk and day tanks, transfer and feed pumps and piping. e. A new ferric chloride storage and feed system in an isolated room including bulk and day tanks, transfer and feed pumps and piping. f. A new corrosion inhibitor storage and feed system including bulk and day tanks, transfer and feed pumps and piping. g. A new polymer storage and feed system including bulk and day tanks, transfer and feed pumps and piping. h. An elevated catwalk system providing access to the top of the various tanks. i. An underground waste tank system (2 tanks) including discharge and recirculation pumps and piping. j. An electrical room. k. A PLC/SCADA room. l. A single person restroom. m. An IT/Data room. n. A mechanical room. o. An Office / Lab room. p. HVAC systems to support the facility. q. A Control system for the facility that is integrated into the plant SCADA system. A new electrical substation, motor control centers, electrical and control devices to power the facility and provide control of all equipment s. A series of accessible chemical trenches containing chemical feed piping (single and double walled) to various locations around the Lanier Filter Plant Site. Chemical feed modifications at chemical feed points. u. Civil and Site Work to support the new facility including a new access road from Buford Dam Road and a new access gate, a new stormwater detention pond, new water, sewer, and storm lines to support the new facility. v. A new truck scale for chemical deliveries.
Modifications to the existing Chemical Storage Building and Filter Building basement level including all work shown on the drawings including the following major components:
A new onsite sodium hypochlorite generation and storage system including brine tanks, water softeners, OSHG generation systems, storage tanks, feed pumps and piping. Generation equipment will be in the existing chlorine gas storage room, with the sodium hypochlorite storage tanks in the existing lime area. b. Demolition of the existing calcium thiosulfate storage and feed system including bulk and day tanks and feed pumps and piping. c. Relocation of the existing liquid lime storage and feed system including bulk tanks, transfer and feed pumps and piping. d. Demolition of the existing chlorine gas storage and feed areas including all chlorine gas feed equipment and piping as well as the scrubber system. e. Conversion of the existing chlorinator room into a new electrical room. f. An elevated catwalk system providing access to the top of the new sodium hypochlorite storage tanks. g. HVAC modifications to support the improvements. h. A Control system for the facility that is integrated into the plant SCADA system. i. Modifications to the electrical system and improvements to electrical and control devices to power the facility and provide control of all equipment. j. A series of accessible chemical trenches containing chemical feed piping from the Chemical Building to the Filter Building Basement. k. Construction of an extension to the spare chemical room in the Filter Building basement to house the sodium hypochlorite feed pumps. l. Civil and Site Work to support the improvements.
