The Work is located at the Lanier Filter Plant, 2590 S Waterworks Rd, Buford, GA 30518. The Work to be performed under this Contract includes, but is not limited to, constructing the Work described below and all related appurtenances. The Work includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Clear site as necessary for removal, repair, and/or installation of the proposed improvements and maintain erosion control measures throughout the duration of the project.
- Restore all disturbed areas such as roadways, driveways, parking areas, curbs, curb and gutter, sidewalks, yards, ornamental plantings, etc., and clean-up the project work area and return the area to its pre-construction conditions.
- Demolish existing direct buried chemical lines and vaults between Filter Building #2 and the Clearwell Junction Structure.
- Install new chemical and sample piping in the Filter Building 2 pipe gallery as shown.
- Install new chlorine solution injection port and electrically actuated valve on the filter backwash pump discharge line in the Clearwell 1 & 2 Effluent Box.
- Install new chemical trench between Filter Building #2 and points in clearwell system. Install piping and conduit in trench as shown and specified.
- Install dewatering sump pumps and appurtenances in trench as shown and specified.
- Demolish and reroute existing chemical and sample lines through the new chemical trench from the clearwell system to the filter building as shown.
- Install leak detection equipment in Filter Building #2 as shown.
- Install electrical conduit and/or duct bank required for pumps, actuated valves, and all other equipment shown or specified.
- Install instrumentation and controls as shown and specified.
- Perform programming of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and configuration of human machine interface (HMI) configuration.
