Alberici Wins 6th Straight ASA National Best Practices Award

This past Saturday, March 18, the American Subcontractors Association (ASA) held their 2017 annual meeting and awards ceremony at the historic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Denver. At the event, Alberici was honored for the sixth year in a row with the organization’s National Construction Best Practices Award. Alberici is the only general contractor among’s (ENR) top 50 U.S. contractors to have ever received this honor.

Alberici Vice President Ron Wiese attributes the company’s remarkable achievement in this award category to both the Alberici’s standard subcontract agreement and its outstanding reputation among subcontractors and suppliers. The criteria for the ASA National Best Practices Award includes the use of a standard subcontract whose provisions substantially reflect the best practices incorporated into the ASA-endorsed ConsensusDocs 750 Standard Agreement Between general contractors and subcontractors. General contractors selected to receive this award must also receive highly favorable evaluations from three specialty trade contractors who have worked under their subcontract over the course of the previous year.

In accepting the award on behalf of Alberici, Ron said, “To steal a quote from Babe Ruth, you cannot win today’s games with yesterday’s home runs.” Ron said that Alberici will continue to improve its delivery processes, working together with subcontracting partners – locally and nationally – to exceed client expectations and continue delivering projects safely, on-time, and on-budget.
