On Saturday, March 18th, Alberici executed a prescribed burn of the native prairie landscaping surrounding Alberici’s corporate headquarters in St. Louis. Prescribed burns remove dead undergrowth and return nutrients to the soil, which allows new growth to emerge. This was only the second time Alberici has completed a prescribed burn of the prairie.
The burn was completed in partnership with DJM Ecological Services and Community Fire District. This burn was larger than the burn conducted previously, and it included the portion between the prairie and Page Avenue for the first time. A portion of the prairie at the rear of the building was left untouched so that animals utilizing our native habitat can remain on the property.
