City of Atlanta - South River WRC Headwaters Improvement Project
Work at the South River WRC Headworks Improvements project commenced in February 2008. South River WRC is one of Atlanta’s four wastewater treatment plants treating up to 54 million gallons per day. Work under the Headworks Improvements contract includes filter feed pumps foundation repairs, effluent pump station controls, belt conveyors to dispose of bar screenings and grit, electrical upgrades, construction of a macerator pump system and liquid separator to dispose of drum screening, and demolition of existing equipment including screw conveyors and compactors that serve the drum screens and bar screens.
