New General Buildings Unit To Provide Comprehensive Construction Services

St. Louis, MO– Alberici Constructors Inc. announced the company has created a new combined buildings and healthcare unit to provide a more complete range of construction services.

The new organization combines several operational units into one unified group that provides comprehensive construction services for the building and healthcare markets.  The new building and healthcare group is strategically organized to more closely align Alberici’s resources with the needs of its clients.

“This reorganization reflects the conscious decision to increase our emphasis on the building and healthcare market,” said Greg Kozicz, CEO, Alberici Constructors. “Alberici has a long-standing tradition of building landmark projects in St. Louis; such as the Edward Jones Dome, the St. Louis Science Center, BJC Center for Advanced Medicine and the Siteman Cancer Center, and many others. By concentrating our resources into this combined group, we will be delivering the experience of more than 100 construction professionals to service both the small and large project needs of our clients.” said Kozicz.

Changes made to the organization include:

  • Dave Gough was appointed as the executive responsible for the group, while continuing to serve as market leader for the healthcare market;
  • J.D. Long was promoted to market leader for the general buildings market;
  • Rodney (Rod) Burt, previously responsible for commercial buildings in Alberici’s subsidiary company, Gunther-Nash, was appointed Vice President of Building and Special Projects.
  • Steve Olson has assumed primary responsibility for business acquisition.

Regarding the focus of the group, Dave Gough, Vice President, said “the group’s focus remains firmly fixed on flawlessly executing construction projects in and around the St. Louis Metropolitan region.”   Gough also indicated that “by combining the preconstruction and construction resources in a single group it will better allow the group to meet or exceed our commercial client’s needs and provide better continuity of service.”

The newly formed group has been responsible for several general buildings and healthcare projects in the St Louis area and Midwest region including: SSM St. Clare-replacement hospital, Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital-Surgery Expansion, Ninth Street Garage-Serving the Old Post Office District, 4545 Lindell Condominiums, Nerinx Hall-Theatre and Athletic Field Addition, Renovation of The Marquette Building, and Robert’s Brothers New Mayfair Garage.
