We assess the learning needs of our employees in conjunction with their goals through a combination of informal training, such as on-the-job training, coaching, self-directed learning and job rotational opportunities. Formalized training programs include Alberici Career Training (ACT), annual operations Technical Training and the Touchstone Leadership Program.
These career development opportunities lead to personal fulfillment and employee engagement. Through the success of our in-house training and development programs, we have recognized increased employee satisfaction and a reduction in employee turnover to less than half the construction industry benchmark. Alberici Career Training (ACT)
We understand our employees' degrees will benefit them significantly in their futures with Alberici, but experience and understanding of how the business functions as a whole is key. Recognizing the utmost importance of providing the right training at the right time, we developed Alberici Career Training, also known as ACT. This program was created to provide new engineers with an educational roadmap that will help them navigate a successful career in construction.
They spend time in different departments including Business Development, Marketing, Estimating, Scheduling, Project Controls, Legal and Safety, working one-on-one with key stakeholders to better understand how all of the pieces fit together. This program combines classroom learning with hands-on project simulations and executive-led mentorships to prepare our employees for what lies ahead.
Alberici Technical Training
Each year, Alberici’s senior management team evaluates learning opportunities for our construction management personnel. These development areas are the basis for our annual Technical Training curriculum. We offer a combination of both technical and soft skill development, drawing upon knowledge and experience of both internal and external resources to facilitate these courses.
Touchstone Leadership Program
Alberici’s internally developed Touchstone program prepares our future executives for new challenges as they advance into leadership positions within the company. It is a comprehensive multi-year approach which covers business management principles our senior managers will experience as they ascend the career ladder.
